02.02.08 – Troyer/Nelson Concert Highlights from navets on Vimeo.

This is a clip of three-songs I recorded during the Scott Troyer & Katie Nelson show at Espresso Love on Saturday night.

The basement here at the Sheets’ home was quite the sight tonight following the huge upset of tonight’s Super Bowl! Cheering for the underdog is usually a lose-lose situation but tonight it was well-worth it!

I felt like I was right there in Phoenix with Peyton cheering on his brother Eli and the Giants to pull off one of the greatest upsets in NFL history!

What a game! What a blast! What a screen! (we projected the game on a 10-foot wide section of our basement wall!)

Favorite commercial: eTrade baby vomit
Least favorite commercials: those cartoon commercials for some unknown company (Sales Genie)
Honorable mention: Justin Timberlake’s PepsiStuff commercial

What a day! (I’ll let the pictures do the talking…)

Today, life was great. We went sledding, built a snow-fort, drove to Milwaukee and Alterra by the lake, and finished off the evening with a couple hours of heartfelt, soul-burning, lyric-driven music at Espresso Love.

What a day!

What a gift!

This evening the UPS delivery-guy dropped off a suspicious-looking box at the house. It had my name on it. The return address was labeled, “Alexandria eBay” or something like that and I instantly questioned Jess as to what she may have bought on eBay without telling me. Even before her reply I tore into the package and emptied out the contents onto the dining room table.

25 loofahs.

Very interesting.

I have publicly said that men who use loofahs are questionable. This public statement has only seemed to truly offend one person so far – Mr. Josh Morton.

Josh Morton received a phone call immediately following the discovery of our gift and through slight coercion I was able to get him to admit to being the prankster.

Thank you Josh Morton for our new loofahs – all of which will be used by my wife and/or daughter when she is old enough to need one. (Or you when you come to visit us!)
