Atlantis

2.7.2008 — 1 Comment

Amazing to watch Shuttle Atlantis take off from Kennedy just minutes ago.

Space travel still amazes me to the point of jaw-dropping.

Thanks to web-buddy, Eric Bramlett, I spent the last 5-minutes creating a fake album cover for a fake album for a fake band all created randomly and put together by me.

Here’s the rules:

1. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first article title on the page is the name of your band.

2. www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four words of the very last quote is the title of your album.

3. www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/
The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

Now it’s YOUR turn! Build your image, host it somewhere like Flickr, and post yours in the comments-section!

See hundreds of others in the Flickr photo pool.

If it weren’t for my thrown-out back (thanks to a careful catch-of-myself while walking to the office yesterday on some ice…) I would be out in this stuff!

It hasn’t stopped snowing for 26+ hours so far! It’s AWESOME!

A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 3 PM CST WEDNESDAY.

A SEVERE WINTER STORM WILL BRING NEAR RECORD SNOW TOTALS TO SOME PARTS OF SOUTHERN WISCONSIN BY THE TIME THE STORM DIMINISHES LATER WEDNESDAY.

IN ADDITION TO THE SNOW…STRONG NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS GUSTING UP TO 35 MPH WILL PRODUCE CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW CREATING NEAR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS…ESPECIALLY NEAR LAKE MICHIGAN AND ALSO AT INLAND RURAL LOCATIONS.

TRAVEL IS EXPECTED TO BECOME TREACHEROUS TONIGHT…CONTINUING INTO WEDNESDAY. ALL INTERESTS SHOULD KEEP ABREAST OF THE LATEST FORECAST…AND BE PREPARED TO ALTER YOUR TRAVEL PLANS WEDNESDAY MORNING.
