My latest print-job arrived by mail yesterday afternoon. I took some of the postcards home last night and snapped photos, but our internet went down last night at home and I couldn’t upload them.

I snapped some more photos today in a badly-lit room, but here’s a shot of the postcards:

Over a hundred of these bad boys were mailed to my BOX mailing list this afternoon. I will give the other 150 out to teens tonight to pass out at school.

Speaking of tonight. I will now spend the rest of the afternoon working on getting computer #2 up and running for theBOX tonight!

It feels like Monday, doesn’t it?

Spent a bunch of time today working on the new, improved theboxonline.com – I’m trying to figure out a new kind of “content management system” called, “Mambo”. I am thinking this is how we will run the NEW website when it’s all said and done.

I also had my first informal meeting with our newly hired interim Senior Pastor, Pastor Bill Kinnan. If you’ve been keeping up, Pastor Kinnan has been filling our pulpit on Sunday mornings for some time now. The board has opted to hire him as our “interim” senior pastor while we continue to search for a new senior pastor. It was good to sit down with Pastor Kinnan this afternoon and chat about life & ministry and how the two aren’t usually different!

I also broke away for an hour this afternoon and mounted the new LED sign in theBOX upstairs. Tomorrow I’ll learn how to program it to “say” nifty things!

On this lovely Labor Day 2005, Jess and I headed to Plymouth, Indiana for the final day of their annual Blueberry Festival!

We were both pleasantly surprised at just how big a festival this was – there were SO MANY booths of both food & “artsy” items.

Plymouth Wesleyan had a beverage-only booth and after talking to their new (8 months) youth pastor, Josh Woods, I found out they make about $10,000 each year at this Blueberry Festival! They sell Coca-Cola products and make $10k? WOW!

We enjoyed lemonade, pierogies, and frozen cheesecake on a stick!

We even had a chance to visit with a couple from our church – Kerry & Kim Goshert were there selling their soybean products! They gave us some great samples and told us the ins and outs of soy-product creation!

We will DEFINITELY be going to the Blueberry Festival again!

Jess and I had originally planned on heading to Plymouth this afternoon after church for their Blueberry Festival.

Exiting, right? Exactly.

Instead we opted for a little more excitement (we’re still going to the festival tomorrow, mind you) with some of our young adults from church! We headed to Gabe and Stacey Ritter’s home this afternoon and after some pizza, Jess enjoyed visiting with the ladies and I enjoyed some Off-Roading adventures with “the boys”!

Let me just say that we DEFINITELY had an adventure.

If you’ll remember, each time I’ve been “off-roading” with “the boys”, something exciting (more than climbing inclines or going down steep passages) has happened. Tonight was NO different.

We were planning on being DONE by about 8PM, but just before 8, Gabe’s back-right tire rubbed against another tire that was in the ravine and sheered off his valve-stem, making his tire deflate instantly!

Try changing a tire when you are ankle deep in mud with large rocks all around your Jeep!

The pictures, of course, don’t do the evening justice, but they are fun to look at. I also took some pictures of our friends’ beautiful babies here.

Also, a couple new videos have been uploaded from the evening here.

I am pretty proud of the list of BLOG links I have over there on the right…

I just went through them all today and gave them “mouse-over” descriptions. Go ahead and mouse-over the links and see what I mean.

It’s amazing to me just how quickly this whole “Blogger-generation” era has grown!
