Per my mother’s request – here’s Ella staring at the Christmas tree:

Today was my day-off and Jess and I decided it would be the perfect day for decorating for the Christmas season.
I decided to go hi-tech and find a time-lapse program to capture the festivities. I found a program with a 10-day free trial and set up my webcam on top of the bookcase. A 2-hour tree-building was captured in 2-second increments and compressed into 2-minutes. Check it out: (music by Sufjan Stevens)
Jess and I enjoyed dinner at Mad Anthony’s tonight thanks to a timely gift from a church family. Afterwards we rushed through Wal-Mart to get Ella’s stocking, a tree skirt, and the hardware to hang our Moravian Star above our front steps.
This afternoon Jess and I took Ella to the “B.A.B.E.” store here in Warsaw. It’s a store for the county that doesn’t accept money. They only accept “B.A.B.E.” coupons. We received these coupons at Ella’s doctor’s appointments, at Jess’ OB appointments, when we finished our parenting classes, even one a month because Jess gets visits from the “Healthy Families” lady each week. We’ve been saving up these coupons (19 of them until today) and decided to make the trip to the B.A.B.E. store to see what we could get!
We ended up with some new outfits for Ella, a new teething toy, a booster seat, and even a new floor-toy (a water-filled duck).
Check out Ella in her new booster seat:

Black Friday – the day after Thanksgiving each year is usually a time to lock yourselves in your homes and pray that no one calls and asks you to join them at 5AM and wait outside some store for an amazing deal.
That’s “usually” what happens.
I heard about a website last week that I’ve been checking out almost daily that you should all know about.
www.blackfriday.info is a website that somehow got their hands on the “Black Friday Ads” from various stores around the country before they are available to the general public.
Want to know what’s on sale at Ace Hardware before your neighbor? Check it out. I personally want the $32 laser-level for a whopping $5 on sale! I just don’t think I can get myself out of bed early enough to get one!
Someone also gave me the idea of putting one or more of these items on lay-away (to make sure you have it available to purchase) and then coming back in on “Black Friday” and purchasing it at the sale price. Good idea?
Yesterday, “Momma Sweeny” gave Jess and I a new winter outfit for Ella. We attempted to get it washed and on her by service last night but that didn’t happen.
When Jess and Ella were able to join me for a trip to Ft. Wayne today for a District Youth Cabinet meeting, we decided that it was the perfect time to use Ella’s new outfit.
