Our Daughter, the (home) movie star!

If you haven’t seen them already:

Ella on the night she was born – I’m rocking her in the nursery – her first rock with her Daddy. We’re waiting for the phone call that says I can bring her back to Mommy (who just underwent emergency c-section). The phone call comes right at the end of the video clip, too! (runtime – 1:08)

Next up – a video of me asking Ella what she thinks about the current gas prices (outrageous) and her reaction (and NO, I was not pinching my daughter to make her react this way!): (runtime (:32)

Finally, my “freshly arrived” daughter and a BIG yawn and continual hiccups (runtime – :43 )

Of course some photos need to round-out the video clips! Full photoset of today’s picture-taking is here.

  1. Well, the older she gets, I see more and more resemblence of you, Stev, when you were born.
Love the video clips. I need to learn to do that and get over the way I think it uses up the battery. Great photos. Baby a bit jaundiced, but the fact that you are all able to come home, today,is a good sign that the bilirubin is ok to do so. Once you get home you will be amazed at how good ‘the nest’ feels. This is where the security of a baby monitor comes in. What a wonderful invention!! We are praying for Mommy’s body to heal. Praise God for all He has done and will continue to do so. Something about first week at home feels like a glimpse of heaven somehow. Well, that is when there is no crying, vomiting, smooth sailing. Wish I could be there. I am in spirit, believe me. Again, I am so thankful for the photos and videos. Thanks Stev!!!!!!!!

Just in case Sally, MomMe wouldn’t want anyone to think that she sounds like me……she has been commenting on website, on my computer with her name. I haven’t realized that the last two days I wasn’t checking that the name was changed. Yesterday, my comment came through as MomMe at 5:12pm and this morning, my comment came through at 6:34am. Just a little gliche from this end.

Thank you for the picture fix of Ella that I needed before going to work this morning. I will watch the video tonight. Will be praying for you all three as you leave the hospital to go home together today. I’m glad you were able to get a little rest yesterday Jessica. Can’t wait to see you all again on Friday. I’m taking more pictures to work today to show-off to all my friends.
And to Sally and Paul (Grandma/Grandpa Sheets) CONGRATULATIONS! I’m sure you cannot wait to see, hold, hug and kiss Ella. She is beautiful beyond measure!

  4. Keep bringing us pictures!!! I love seeing them. She is so so beautiful.

  5. Thanks for the wonderful pictures and videos! It is such a treat to see all of you. I hope to be able to see Ella in person some day soon. Getting ready for Joshua’s graduation Saturday and end of school stuff here at work. Am praying for all of you and love you dearly.

  6. Congrats! You should send the video of the gas prices reaction or America’s Funniest Home Videos.

I work with IWU’s Admissions Office and came across your blog. Blessings on your new edition!

Hey Stevan. Krista has a great idea. You should send the “Ella’s gas prices reaction” to America’s Funniest Home Video. If you win the $10,000, it would pay for alot of diapers!!!
