Finally settling down after a VERY busy day today.

Pictures from this morning’s Ft. Wayne adventure are up here.

After Kory got here this afternoon we headed to Bennigan’s for dinner together and with Jess’ co-worker, Aynsley.

Good times, TERRIBLE service. They actually ended up giving us three free meals tonight – Kory was the only one who had to pay for his food tonight! Thank you to the cook with the hair-falling-out problem!

Pictures from tonight are here.

Oh, and Kory brought us a gift that Sherilyn had sent his way via a guy that attends Kory’s church back from Bosnia.

It’s a print of a city-scape from Split, Croatia (guessing). Thanks, Sher – this will definitely go up in our apartment!

Who knows what adventure awaits us tomorrow.

Early to Rise..

Left the house just a bit before 7AM this morning. I got into my non-airconditioned Plymouth Neon and headed to Ft. Wayne. I met up with buddies Glen Robinson and Rob Tippey at the Family Christian Bookstore’s “Church Leader’s Breakfast”.

Breakfast was sponsored by Chic-Fil-A. Bless them!

We got the first Rob Bell NOOMA DVD (already own them, so Kory gets a free gift!) – “RAIN”. We also got 33% of anything we bought this morning.

I walked out with $88 worth of swag.

Included in my bag of swag:
CD – “Blessed be Your Name” – the Songs of Matt Redman Vol. 1
BOOK – “Seizing Your Divine Moment” – Erwin McManus
BOOK – “Pocket Guide to the Apocolypse” – Jason Boyett
BOOKS – “The Complete Chronicles of Narnia” – C.S. Lewis
DVD – “For All You’ve Done” – Hillsong
DVD – “The Pond” – an at-the-counter, impulse $5 purchase!

I also got another DVD I purchased through the “internets” last week – Brock Gill‘s “Hidden Agenda”. He’s a Christian Illusionist. I’ve seen him LIVE and have watched his first DVD as well.

I will be media-tized for the next few weeks. I want to read the entire Chronicles of Narnia in the next months before the movie comes out. First up, “The Magician’s Nephew”. Wish me the best!

Kory arrives in town for the weekend in a few hours. I’m looking forward to spending some time with him this weekend. We’ve got no plans, but that’s usually the best time spent! He’s got some pretty amazing graphic-art work going on, so I always love seeing what he’s up to with that when he’s in town.

Got a call from Jeremy Summers yesterday proclaiming the launch of his new personal-blog – we’ll see how long THIS one lasts!

At coffee and lunch today, I had some great conversations with Glen and Rob about life, ministry, and the like. Glen is planning on taking me to an Orthodox Church service in Ft. Wayne in the next while. Should be an interesting experience.

Woke up at 9AM this morning, heading to a family’s home to do some “computer work” for them. I set up a wireless network for their home after almost 2-hours of trial-and-error!

After “work”, I headed to Jess’ classroom to do my tall husbandly-duty of helping her hand a bulletin board. I also got the job of putting up the “word wall”. It looks fantastic.

After that I did some back-to-school shopping for my wife and then came home and crashed around 5.

Crashing on my day off usually comes WAY before 5, but today it was not the case.

My wonderful wife cooked us a great supper and didn’t even ask me to help with the dishes. She then allowed me to continue to “crash” on the couch while she cleaned up supper, did numerous loads of laundry, and folded clothes – all without asking me to help!

Have I mentioned lately that my wife is the greatest?

I think I’ll go tell her that now.

Just added a Wedding-Day photoset!

and a Honeymoon photoset!

This movie will be quite interesting.
