“Christians who go to Scripture to find a verse or passage to prove someone else wrong are like children lost in a desert using their last bit of water to fill up squirt guns to tease each other rather than to slake their thirst.”

– Chuck Smith Jr. in “Frequently Avoided Questions” (Chapter 1 – “Why the Bible?”, page 28)

“You are nothing but a Canaanite! Your father was an Amorite and your mother a Hittite. On the day you were born, no one cared abou you. Your umbilical cord was not cut, and you were never washed, rubbed with sals, and wrapped in cloth. No one had the slightest interest in you; no one pitied you or cared for you. On the day you were born, you were unwanted, dumped in a field and left to die.”

A little harsh, God, don’t you think?

Magee & Kory

What a great weekend with Magee & Kory!

They left after Magee treated us all to lunch at The Boathouse and we had a little “photo shoot” outside of The Boathouse.

Friends like these will last a lifetime!

More photos here.

Photos of this morning’s BOX Brunch here.

At 6:30 this morning – I heard what sounded like my neighbor’s tin shed flying through the air.

What do ya know – when I looked out the window, my neighbor’s shed was nowhere to be found.

Found it in the front yard.

Thank the Lord for these two overgrown bushes that protected the vehicles in our driveway!
