We had a great time tonight hanging with Glen & Natalie.

Before meeting up with them, Jess and I did a little coat-shopping and picked her up a VERY nice, purple, winter-coat that will “grow” with her as she continues to “pregnify”. (new word, I own it!)

We also stopped at the “Motherhood” store and she picked up some “pregy-jeans” that she has been in need of. I sat and waited as she tried on atleast 2-dozen pair. (not really, of course)

After a few other stops, we met up with Glen & Natalie at Biaggi’s – a great Italian restaurant. After dinner we headed to the RAVE theater to secure our spot in a crowded, Narnia-hungry theater. We had some good conversation with the Middle-School Principal from Wawasee, Indiana as we waited for the movie to start. He was as outgoing as we were!

After the movie the ladies hit up Starbucks and the fellas headed up the parking lot to Krispy Kreme (a Sheets/Robinson tradition). We brought back the donuts and enjoyed conversation and coffee – AND DONUTS until after 11:30.

What a great night!

Did I mention that Jess bought me a sled for Christmas tonight?

I’m going to test-run it tomorrow, I think – if I can think of a good-enough hill to trek to.

We’re also heading BACK to “THE WAYNE” tomorrow night with the VanKirk’s – celebrating Matt’s birthday with dinner and a visit to the Anchor Room Christian bookstore!

IT KEPT SNOWING!

I would guess that here in Warsaw we currently have a good 5-6 inches of snow on the ground.

It’s beautiful.

They cancelled school and Jess was very happy.

We’re heading to Ft. Wayne this afternoon for an evening with Glen & Natalie Robinson & the 7 o’clock showing of The Lion, Witch & The Wardrobe!

Can’t wait!

We had a GREAT time tonight at our annual Warsaw Wesleyan staff, LBA, and trustee Christmas Party.

The food was great, the fellowship was great, the Christmas-carol singing was fun, and the gift-exchange was entertaining!

Tonight, too we’ve been having QUITE the little snowstorm! There’s already about 4-inches on the ground and it’s not letting up anytime soon! Jess already has a two-hour delay tomorrow and the ride home from church tonight was very slow and slippery!

More pictures of tonight’s party here.

If you’re a youth pastor, you’ll appreciate these!

Over the next 12 week days, Doug Fields’ team will be giving away a resource on their website.

Click here. Today’s freebie was a 3-minute Christmas Countdown.

I’ve been given some pretty incredible files to share with you all.

01. “The Big One” – a song that the Singing Auctioneer DID sing last night.
02. “I Just Don’t Look Good Naked Anymore” – a song that our “Singing Auctioneer” told us that he WANTED to sing last night.

For those of you NOT affiliated with the Indiana North District or even the Wesleyan Church for that matter – these two songs would usually NEVER be even HUMMED by a majority of our ministers.

This will give you more of an understanding of the humorous time we had last night watching this guy and wondering if he would make it out alive!

A video clip of my buddy Hofer “interpretively dancing” to “The Big One” when we first heard it last night and our table’s reaction is available here.
