Today, life was great. We went sledding, built a snow-fort, drove to Milwaukee and Alterra by the lake, and finished off the evening with a couple hours of heartfelt, soul-burning, lyric-driven music at Espresso Love.

What a day!

What a gift!

This evening the UPS delivery-guy dropped off a suspicious-looking box at the house. It had my name on it. The return address was labeled, “Alexandria eBay” or something like that and I instantly questioned Jess as to what she may have bought on eBay without telling me. Even before her reply I tore into the package and emptied out the contents onto the dining room table.

25 loofahs.

Very interesting.

I have publicly said that men who use loofahs are questionable. This public statement has only seemed to truly offend one person so far – Mr. Josh Morton.

Josh Morton received a phone call immediately following the discovery of our gift and through slight coercion I was able to get him to admit to being the prankster.

Thank you Josh Morton for our new loofahs – all of which will be used by my wife and/or daughter when she is old enough to need one. (Or you when you come to visit us!)

Yes, I signed up for alerts.

My buddy Brad Zimmerman (the mastermind behind the video-visuals at SETAPART ’07 – the Wesleyan Youth Convention we just had in Orlando) has just finished putting up the first episode of his new vidcast called, “Church Media Design”. The first episode is entitled, “Countdown to Launch”, and includes tutorials on building a countdown timer in both Adobe AfterEffects as well as the new stand-alone program, The Countdown Creator.

The production value is all that I hoped it would be and it’s nice to have a friend like Brad who is willing to share things that he knows that I wish I knew!

Brad is looking at the podcast as a ministry – giving back to those of us in ministry who need all the help we can get.

If you’re interested, you can stream the first episode TODAY on the website – www.churchmediadesign.tv and eventually subscribe to its RSS feed to download into iTunes!

This evening the UPS guy delivered my latest freebie – 100 free glossy 4×6 postcards from Overnightprints.com! They’re only one-sided, but they sport the updated CRM-logo and will be used to send out quick messages to students every now and again.

You can get your own 100 free glossy full-color 4×6 postcards from Overnightprints.com by using the code, “FREEPC08” while checking out before February 29th.

Let me know if you take advantage of this offer.

By the way, shipping cost a little less than $10.
