“I do not want an Apple iPhone.”

Dear Ohio State football team,

Did you forget that this was the game of the year?

What in the world were you doing out there.

Boy am I glad NOT to be an Ohio State fan.

I know some Ohio State fans who are probably not very happy right now.

Interestingly enough, however, those same upset fans will be right back to the edge of their couches next year as you play another amazing season.

Too bad you didn’t play amazingly tonight, though, huh?

Cheering for the underdog,

Stevan Sheets

In just a few short weeks, I will be headed to Haiti with 6 others from Warsaw for a week-long Mission trip.

I am very excited about this trip as it nears, though I can admit some hesitation and nervousness.

I am NOT looking forward to being away from my family for those 9-days, nor am I looking forward to most of the unknowns about the situations we will no-doubt find ourselves in.

I just purchased 10 digital-8mm tapes to be sure and document as best as I can the trip. My goal for this trip is to capture those moments that will best describe our time in Haiti and purposefully ignite a passion within our church and community to continue to support our “adopted” Haiti mission field.

Have any avid stevansheets.com-ers been to Haiti in the past? Any advice? Any words of encouragement?

So I spent who-knows how many hours preparing a message for this morning and what do you know, the Holy Spirit had other plans!

Jess sang the special music in both morning services today, “Blessed” by Rachel Lampa, and I came up to start the message and gave a short, “I’m blessed” statement and next thing I know our congregation in both services is giving testimonies on how THEY’RE blessed. Both services had about 45-minutes of testimonies each!

It was incredible to watch the Church in action as one testimony would bless another person and vice-versa. It was a beautiful day.

After church we met with Uncle Brandon who is leaving in 10-days-or-so to take the next steps in becoming a Navy SEAL.
