Archives For General

Saw the doctor this afternoon. We’re going through with the HIDA-scan tomorrow morning. This test should prove whether my gall bladder is working or not. I did find out today that I have a “slightly enlarged” gall bladder. I didn’t have the nerve to ask if that could have anything to do with my “slightly enlarged” body frame?!

If the scan comes back normal tomorrow, I will be referred to a gastrointestinal specialist to do some GI-checking.

The doc also said that I should hear the results of the HIDA by tomorrow evening.

Good times, huh?

Good news? I’m back to my college-weight after losing 18-pounds in 2-weeks!

I have a HIDA-scan tomorrow, but last night after coming home from theBOX I attempted to eat a bit of tomato soup and a cheese-sandwich. What happened after that can only be described as “painful”.

The toilet and I are forever-enemies now.

We called the doctor this morning and they quickly set up an appointment for me at 2:50 this afternoon.

What I’m looking forward to is finding out how much weight I’ve truly lost since going to the doctor two weeks ago. It would also be nice to find out what’s going on with my “bowels of terror”, too. (that would be a great name for a heavy metal rock band, wouldn’t it?)

The doctor called.

All is well inside the abdomen of Stevan Paul Sheets.

Knowing this, I will again venture into the world of “real food” – starting with some baked chicken tonight.

If I puke, I may just remove my gall bladder myself – MacGyver-style.

Ella is a big fan of Regina Spektor, as are her parents. Specifically, the video for “Fidelity”. She was glued to the television while this video played just moments ago. You can enjoy it here, too:

Speaking of Ella … Ella stars in the latest VidCast update over there on the sidebar! Check it out!

I’m home today.

Jess is now sick. Ella has been sick-ish for a couple of days now and with them both being sick, I made the call to make home my office this morning.

Jess is in bed and Ella knows that Daddy’s here and she has decided NOT to take her morning nap, but to roll around in her crib instead. When I go into her room, I’m met with a huge smile that says, “I win, Daddy – now pick me up.”

I’m trying not to give in.

Tonight Mom and Dad Garrett are coming to visit. They were going to babysit as Jess and I joined our CONNECTIONS group for an evening of bowling, but I will now have to go alone with Jess being sick. I welcome the help from my in-laws!
