It’s just after 11PM, I’m updating from bed tonight and I’m pooped. I’ve spent much of the last three days caged in our youth room downstairs in our church. The carpet-project is completed and sadly I have no photos to share of the finished bleacher – I promise to take some in the near-to-distant future.

A couple things I learned over the last couple of days while working on this project:

#1 – I do NOT see myself taking a job as a carpet-installer in the future.
#2 – My hands only have so much skin on them and when that skin is worn-away by the constant abrasive-action of carpet-installing, my hands hurt like you-know-what. (if you insert anything other than “crazy” into this ‘you-know-what’ space, shame on you)
#3 – I am not a professional (or even an amateur) dishwasher repairman. Ask Jess about today’s episode of, “Yah, I can fix that!” and it’s subtle, albeit ‘shocking’, ending.
#4 – While I do enjoy solitude from time-to-time, three-days of exile-island-type loneliness wears on a guy.
#5 – Most projects that I invent for myself take a lot longer than originally anticipated.
#6 – Finished projects that are done well and are truly “finished” are so fulfilling to stand back and stare at.
#7 – My loving wife and daughter are incredibly loving – they haven’t even mentioned the fact that “Daddy hasn’t been around much these last three-days!”
#8 – We have a sweet bleacher in our youth room now.
