Mukwonago, meet the Sheets

7.2.2007 — 8 Comments

We’ve arrived and are “settling in”.

We left Warsaw this morning around 9:30AM. We pulled into Mukwonago just after 3PM and turned our clocks back an hour (we’re on Central time now!)

Sherilyn met us just off Interstate 94 and followed behind us the final 25-miles to Mukwonago. She’s been a big help, too, watching Ella while we’ve attempted to put some things away and keep our sanity. Sher will be here through Wednesday – and we are SO grateful to have her help during this transition!

We’re currently “relaxing” at Pastor Gerry & Wenda’s home. I don’t have my camera with me to update via pictures, but will take time to do that sometime soon. We’ll open our bank account tomorrow hopefully and work on finding a deal on internet for the house, too!

Thank you all for praying for us through this transition – please continue to pray especially for my beautiful wife! She is such a strong woman and has helped me during some of my roughest moments to-date during this transition! I have a new ministry-position to keep me busy for these next few weeks and months and Jess has the HUGE task of making our house into our home. She is already doing a fantastic job – and I know she’s as excited as I am about this new stage of life for us!

Somehow during packing up everything we own into boxes and then a truck I managed to hurt my back again. I rode in the truck with a hot-pack on my back for the entire trip and consistently pumped myself full of Ibuprofen to keep me from crying, but I’m hurting pretty bad right now and would also appreciate any prayers on my behalf, too!

Come and visit us in Wisconsin!

Here’s our new address:

Stevan & Jessica Sheets (and Ella!)
S93 W30580 County Road NN
Mukwonago, WI 53149

(interesting, isn’t it?)

  1. Glad you all safely arrived! Praying for you during this transition. Call me any time you need to vent or just to chat. Peace and love to you both (and Ella too!).

We are so happy you made it to your new home. Sounds like you made very good time. I hear Ella loved riding in the front seat between you two and being able to look out the front window with you. I can just see her leaning over and looking at each of you and smiling.
Stevan, I will pray for your back pain to go away.

    Love you all three,
    Mom/Grandma Garrett

  3. Thanks for the update! You do not feel so far away all though I can feel that something is missing.
I am glad that you made it safe & that Sher can be with you for these next few days.
Hope you feel better and get you home Internet up & running. Looking forward to those new pictures.
Mukwonago – you are in for a real treat. Be Blessed and buckle up!

  4. My chiropractor says to use ice and that heat only makes it swell and worsens the problem.

Yes to the ice dear boy, I was thinking I should say that too when you told that you were purchasing heat packs, but I tried NOT to be such a MOTHER and let you do what you felt you needed (live and learn!) … THANKS anonymous! My chiropractor would say the same!

Soooooooo thankful you all are safe AND sound! Ella sounded so absolutely joyful when Sherilyn called while taking care of her – so thankful!!!

We are praying for all of you and the back Stevan!

Oh dear Lord, help them through this day of new beginnings and all the frustrations and hours of time spent in just setting things up it will take, and give them laughter and joy today! Amen!
