Unlimited abortion rights?

Non existence of Hell?

Not by my vote.

“I am a Christian.… So, I have a deep faith. I’m rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people.” – Barack Obama (article link)

Oh my !! I read the article. Scarry how the words “I’m a Christian” is used these days. How can you say you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, as Obama says, and believe there is no Hell ??

I can send you information I have received on him – with major reasons for concern if the nation would have him elected.

Let me know if you want the info and I will send it.

  3. And yet, I can’t endorse our current pres either.

BUT, I believe that the current President (Pres. Bush) IS God’s man, or he wouldn’t be in there by God’s will!

  5. Barack O’bama or Hillary Clinton, which one would you rather have as the democratic candidate? I haven’t seen Republican’s exactly living squeaky clean. Even our “God ordained” President curses like a sailor when he thinks the mic is not on…. and alot of journeying Christians don’t know what to believe about hell, because everything in life is not as black and white as most would like to think…

  6. And do we (and as a Canadian, I mean you) elect government officials by their personal beliefs about God, heaven, and hell, or do we support individuals who will make correct, informed decisions about the issues that shape this country? Whomever the country chooses to elect next year, we need a president that is not connected to and influenced by big business and will be more open to communication with other politicians as well as “the people” to find solutions to our problems — environmentally and economically.

Plus, the choices are likely going to be Obama, Clinton, or Edwards (remember from Kerry/Edwards 2004) so pick your poison –it’s always the lesser of evils with candidates anyway.

  7. After reading that “article” — which is at best “soft” and at worst an opinion stated as fact — I have no more information about the man that is Barack Obama. None of the information in this article is cited but from another persons journalism, the article is nearly 3 years old, and contains so much that must be speculation (“his mother…and between the lines, sounds like an atheist”) because there is no source.

This article needs to be regarded not as information but rather one person’s unfounded opinion of a politician that is clearly on the opposite side of the ballot than the writer punches.

  8. If Obama (or anyone else) was elected, would it be God’s will? Democracy is weird like that. We have free will, and yet, what if everyone voted against what “God wanted” and put someone he opposed there? Has that already happened? Does it even matter? Can’t God “use” anyone in the position?

  9. Good discussion my friends!

  10. i was too afraid to say anything on here so i took my opinions to my google group “theological rejects” – but since Tim and Erik spoke up – may I just say, “here, here!”
