Mom Garrett came this afternoon to sit with Ella while Jess and I took a much-needed “date night”.
Hacienda dinner and then a leisurely drive took us to North Manchester, Indiana.
Found some cool stuff:
First, the birthplace of the 28th Vice President, Thomas R. Marshall –

Then, the Peabody Retirement Community – please take note: Jess and I would LOVE to end up in a place like this – check out the tower:

We finished our adventuring and headed back to Warsaw where my wonderful mother-in-law and precious daughter awaited us.
Ella’s “picture of the day” today is too good not to share here:

We all agree that Ella is PRECIOUS ! But the wonderful mother-in-law comment- wow- thanks Stevan! I enjoyed every moment of babysitting Ella and kissing that precious little face. Love the cute determined look Ella has in this picture. She was standing up on her own with just a little help from grandma.
Love you all three!
Stevan……..you gotta be kidding. Retirement center with a tower. If I get back to Indiana, I must check this out for myself. Elderly are my favorite people to work with. I can only imagine that it would be a great place to work, as well as to reside. Wow!!!!
