At about 9:30 Wednesday night, Jess and I packed up the car and Ella and headed over to Bluffton. The next morning Dad Garrett and I headed to Cedar Point with people from his church including my buddy Derek Carpenter. In about 8-hours at Cedar Point we road 10 rollercoasters: Blue Streak, Corkscrew, Disaster Transport, Gemini, Iron Dragon, Magnum XL-200, Mantis, Mean Streak, Raptor, and Wicked Twister. Sadly, Top Thrill Dragster was closed when we arrived at the park for “maintenance” and by the time it opened, the line was several hours long. On another sad-note, our first coaster choice fo the day was the super-fun Millenium Force. Apparently due to new insurance regulations, Cedar Point has shortened the lap-belt length on this ride making it impossible for some of us unable to ride! We were asked to attempt to buckle up in a mock-seat before we got in line and three of us couldn’t get the belt locked around us! Each of us who couldn’t fit this year had ridden the ride in past years and were shocked at the shortened belt!
10 rollercoasters in one day made for a very exciting Cedar Point trip and we returned to Bluffton sometime after 1AM this morning. After enjoying lunch with Mom & Dad Garrett – Jess, Ella & I headed back home to Warsaw. I am continuing to work on my message for Sunday here in the office this evening, but wanted to pause for a few moments to update the loyal stevansheets.com readership as to the happenings in our lives!
