We had a great youth service tonight. We studied 1 Peter 3:13-18 and I encouraged our students NOT to fall into the “old school” way of thinking that after every “spiritual high” there is always a tremendous “spiritual low” lurking just around the corner. I’m tired of the consistent thought that being a Christian is such a tough life that seems to be so focused on how difficult life is – if we truly believe that we have a relationship with The Almighty Creator (an unfathomable privilege), why do many Christians look/act as if they will never experience true joy?
After the service we had two more of our teens accept the EAT THE WORD campaign and sign rocks and place them on the altar!
Of course with every great youth service comes a great pre-serious-time “game”.
