School was cancelled this morning due to fog, so I started the morning by taking my wife out to breakfast at Bob Evans. Good stuff.
After breakfast it was off to the church for a full-day. I’ll be back in the office tomorrow morning and all-day – tomorrow is theVINE worship service!
An update on the foyer upgrade:

New signs!

Carpet is DONE (in the foyer!) and the wallpaper gets put up starting on Monday!
After work this afternoon, Jess and I were invited to spend the evening with the Stivers – for Bailey’s birthday we hit up the Ft. Wayne “Chuck E Cheese’s” for some birthday-fun!

I love that logo

Bailey – Chad and Mary’s son.

Malorie – Chad and Mary’s daughter.

Of course I had to play some games after eating my pizza!

After playing 100-tokens worth of games, each kid has a cup full of tickets. This new-fangled machine is INCREDIBLE! It actually “eats” the tickets and counts them for the kids and then prints out a receipt that is redeamable at the counter for hundreds of kid-toys (most of which I would’ve been happy to own).

Story about this picture: the boy in the front of this picture is unknown – his noises and facial expressions while “trying” to play this game (he had no coins) were hilarious. Hilarious enough for me to snap photos of him and hilarious enough for the kid behind him to actually put a coin in for him to play!

OH how I remember the “Chuck E Cheese” trips!!! I so well remember the time Keith Drury came to Easton for a time of teaching our leaders. Gving Keith about three choices of where to take him to eat, he ‘encouraged’ us, on the way to a fine restaurant, to let you and Stacia pick and decide where to eat (Sherilyn was a baby with no ability yet to voice her ‘wants’)!
Almost instantly Keith had the ability to understand the – ‘before picking him up at the airport scenario’ – through his view of the scene before him and his intuition! He was instantly touched from the picture of Stacia and you ‘remaining silent’ but with longings! Both of you with your eyes closed and your hands folded as if you were praying – hoping, praying, that we could go where you and Stacia wanted to take this new friend… to eat at “Chuck E Cheese” – treating him to supper with us! We had already given our speech and pre-convinced you two, that this was a night for something “extra special” because this was a special ADULT friend and we were not going to make him eat at a kids restaurant – albeit your favorite restaurant, making you two to understand that this was a night for ADULT food, with children along for enjoying the experience; NOT for a child’s restaurant, that most adults have to suffer through each time they go!
Can you remember how much I loved that place?! Still don’t yet know I will have to suffer through with our grands!
You dear children of ours got your way that night miraculously, because Keith said he voted with the two (children), making it t’hree’ against the other ‘two’ adults – to go to “Chuck E Cheese”! You can thank him if you forgot to within the last few years of reacquainting your friendship with him!
Do you remember too that he chose (he insisted) to stay with us at our home with only the two bedrooms we had, and he slept in the same room as the three of you children!!! We were prepared with motel reservations, for him to sleep there, but ‘against’ my voicing of concern about him being too special to stay with us, and not being able to sleep with three little ones in the same room, he insisted to stay! He promised me that if after the first night he was not getting his required amount of sleep necessary to keep going well, that he would submit to going to the motel! He STAYED!!
We enjoyed having him after I was able to relax! You children were great too! You made us proud! You still do! You and your baby sister who are both in our lives, walking with God which causes us to be so proud!
With so much love!
