It’s cold outside.

13-degrees was today’s “high”.

That’s pretty stinkin’ cold.

We have a road closed close to our house because of the flooding and now – freezing. It’s pretty cool to go around that “road closed” sign and go across that sheet of ice that now covers the road.

Who would do such a thing?

Bring on the “be careful” comments.

Had a great LDJ meeting this morning (a once-a-month meeting with other Wesleyan pastors from around Northern Indiana).

A lot going on tomorrow. Better get my beauty rest.

Oh, and by the way – I NEVER thought that Peyton Manning was a “god” or anything like that – I have ALWAYS been fans of teams that are atleast associated with the state that I either live in or have lived in.

For example:

I’ll always root for the Buffalo Bills (whether or not they lose 4 Super Bowls in a row!) I will continue to root for the Baltimore Orioles (loved Eddie Murray!) I will always root for the Carolina Panthers (I watched them be born!) I will always love the Atlanta Braves (dad and I LOVED singing the “tomahawk chop” song at Braves games) And I will always be a fan of the Indianapolis Colts – I’ve lived in this flat state for 8-years!

Wow.

8-years?

1997-2005 = 8 years.

That’s weird.

  1. I did the same thing about 11 yrs ago.
Boy was that DUMB! I had to take the children, ( probably 4 & 5) walk up to a farm house & call my husband to come get me.
Needless to say, I learned that when it says “road closed” it is for good reason!

  2. Hey-
Liz is on the phone for you…..

  3. I am cheering on the Cardinals! I hope they win! Or the Phillies! Go Phillies! I can’t wait for the ‘Supper’ Bowl either! Seriously I say, “Dumb STUFF”!!!!

I think there are so many other things to use valuable time doing than to waste it by sitting to watch a bunch of human monster ants chasing a crumb called a football, and then in the process killing off the weaker ants!! I have so many other things to do with time than to waste it in that manner! That’s my take!

    Love ya!
