What a morning!

This morning Jess called from the side of the road with car trouble.

I jumped in some clothes, jumped in my car and picked her up a little over a mile away from the house. I took her to school, drove back to where her car was and started it up with a little trouble and then took it back to our place.

I then “bundled up” and got walking. I got back to my car about 15 minutes later and drove it back.

A couple of calls and a hood-lift later, it was being towed to my friends at North Lake Auto.

Haven’t heard what the “damage” is yet, but from what I saw – the serpentine belt is going to need to be replaced and probably the tension-pulley.

In other news, my pupils are filling up almost my entire eyeball right now!

I had my eye exam today and had my pupils dialated. In about a week I’ll have my new glasses and trial pairs of contacts! That’s right – contacts!

I also learned today from the eye doctor that I have some sort of “pigment disease” in my left eye. I forget exactly what he called it. He says it’s normal and that there’s nothing to worry about – that my eyes are healthy, they just have this “thing” wrong with them!

Great.

  1. You do care. I’m so happy :)

  2. Hmmmmm, do I want to swap cars with you?????
Seriously, if Jess’s car is still down next Thursday, we have the girls cars I can take back and forth to work.

  3. I’m so glad my wonderful husband came to my rescue yesterday. Also, God is so cool! He had already provided another means of transportation for us to go to South Carolina so that we would have our rental car money to spend on fixing my car. It’s a blessing, isn’t it????? :-)

  4. I don’t know why you even bothered adding that David guy’s page to your list – he never updates it anyway…… ;)

  5. What’s up? What a gentleman! Hope the eye “thing” is ok. Had my pupils dilated in the fall and they bothered me for like 8 hours. Anyway, enjoy your trip to the south this Christmas.
