Last night we were supposed to go out to dinner with the husbands and wives from my men’s Bible Study on Monday nights. Well, as it turned out, only one other couple could go with us to the Olive Garden.

We had a blast!

Chad & Mary Stiver and the Sheets

We had a fantastic waitress and some great dinner conversation. It was good to spend that time with such a neat couple.

Valentine’s

I’ve been called, “the greatest husband a woman could ever ask for” today.

Have you?

If you didn’t catch last night’s GRAMMY awards, you probably don’t care about this post either.

Jess and I flipped between the GRAMMYs and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. What we saw was pretty incredible.

Kanye West performed an incredible on-stage version of his “Jesus Walks” track in which he ended up looking “angelic” at the end of the song.

Kanye looking like an angel.

After his performance, he went on to win two GRAMMYs – one for Best Rap Album of the year and Best Rap Song. His “thank you’s” were pretty incredible, too. Kanye’s FAITH is something I’ve been trying to read about as much as possible. For a rapper to write a songs about Jesus Christ is something very abnormal. His songs are not “clean” by any stretch of the imagination, but there’s obviously something in his heart that admires Christ.

In other GRAMMY-news, U2 won 3 GRAMMYs last night! Hurray for those boys! ‘Vertigo’ took the Grammy for ‘Best Rock Performance By a Duo or Group With Vocal’, ‘Best Rock Song’ and ‘Best Short Form Music Video’. Pretty incredible!

Also in the CCM categories, Third Day took home a GRAMMY for Best Rock Gospel Album for “Wire”, Steven Curtis Chapman took home a GRAMMY for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album with his “All Things New” album.

I didn’t win any GRAMMYs last night. (in case you were wondering)

Sunday

I took a 3-hour nap this afternoon!

That’s like 180-minutes of pure sleeping goodness.

The only thing I don’t like about Sunday-afternoon naps – sweating.

You know what I’m talking about, don’t you? You go to the bedroom to get “real” sleep during your Sunday afternoon nap – instead of the “fake” sleep while watching the race or whatever else is on television. But when you hit the “real bed” for a nap and you wake up you find out that someone has thrown atleast a 5-gallon bucket of lukewarm water on you while you were sleeping – or atleast that’s what it feels like.

I hate that feeling.

In other news, I’m learning to like washing with Old Spice Body Wash again – something I did during our first few weeks of marriage – when we “splurged” and bought some “manly” body wash for me on our honeymoon. Jess surprised me with a fresh bottle of the stuff for Valentine’s this weekend and I love it.

Still haven’t sunk to the “loofa-level” yet, and don’t plan on it! If you have, you’re SICK!

Was handed an iTunes cap by my buddy Bill Leslie today at church! I like his beard!

So, that makes the grand total of iTunes caps received: 2.

That’s sad.

This is just amazing!
