Back Home

Got home tonight at around 9PM. We got quite a lot of brainstorming and job-description-hashing done over the last two days and I’m glad to have a rest from the whiteboard and smell of markers!

If you look closely at the above photo you can see all that our “Marketing and Promotions Team” brainstormed this afternoon. It’s going to be a busy 18-months as we continue to plan and build “SET APART” – the 2007 International Wesleyan Youth Convention:

I have quite a lot of new-work to begin working on as soon as I get back into the office tomorrow. Yippey!

When I got home, Ella was waiting for me! Not like waiting at the door with her arms outstretched, but she’s only 6-weeks old, ya know?!

Isn’t she the most beautiful baby girl you’ve ever seen?!?!

After a few minutes of Ella-time, we took her outside to show her the garden (and to water it, of course). I also finally snapped some photos to show you just how much the garden is growing!!

Heading to Indy

6.4.2006 — 2 Comments

I am supposed to be packing up my things and heading down to Indy right now, but I had to snap some last-minute shots of my beautiful daughter first.

I’m heading down tonight for a meeting that I have there tomorrow. I’m staying with Kory – and actually he’s leading the meeting, too! How cool is that?

This is my first time away from Mommy and Ella since Ella’s birth – and yes, I’m a bit un-nerved. They’ll do fine – especially with 15-minute incremental check-ups from Daddy!

Today our family headed to Jess’ first-grade classroom for one final “clean up”.

Ella enjoyed sitting in the “Author’s Chair”:

When all was said and done, we had a carload of school-stuff to be sifted through in the next weeks and stored.

Here Mommy looks around her classroom:

Jess talked about how much she will miss Harrison and the people she worked with. She will miss the kiddos, too, but she is excited at her new role as full-time Mommy. (Even the full-time Mommy of a baby girl that will not stop crying right now!)

Speaking of crying – here’s a short clip I shot today of Ella on the changing table letting us know that she wasn’t too happy:

If you’ve seen the first two installments of, by-far, the greatest comic-to-movie creation – you’re going to see this movie. We enjoyed this flick up in Goshen at the Linway Plaza Theater tonight with a crowd of under 50. Quite un-packed for a Friday night at the movies we thought. Side note: even LESS of the crowd enjoyed the after-credits finale that I had read about and we waited to watch.

The movie was EXCELLENT. Tons of action, some great dialogue, a great plot, and even better CG than the first two! Some pretty intense plot-twists and action sequences made viewing this film well worth the over-priced ticket!

If you’ve not seen the first two, don’t dare go and see this one first – you’ll be missing a lot of the pre-plot. Go out and rent 1 and 2 and watch them back to back and then go see X3. Seriously, you’ll thank me later.
