On the day after Thanksgiving, instead of waiting in long lines and buying things we didn’t need, we enjoyed watching “The DaVinci Code”!
I was wary of our family watching this “controversial” film that so many have spoken out against, and after seeing it I can understand people’s opinions on the storyline being uncomfortable to handle.
However, when ANY fictional movie portrays our belief-system as “false”, I hope I will always be quick to NOT instantly write it off as unwatchable because of someone else’s opinion.
I believe this movie, while entertaining the brain, DOES provide a great platform for discussing our beliefs and begs ANY Christian to know why they believe what they believe AND to practice Christian Apologetics!
Tom Hanks and Audrey Tautou played their parts perfectly, by the way!

Yet another movie that I “rented” through
Jess may have cried near the ending of this movie, but we were both once-again disappointed in Sandler’s sophomoric humor and sexual innuendo throughout “Click” that we watched last week before Thanksgiving.
“United 93” was definitely a mistake to have used my points to obtain through
Jess and I were told by nearly everyone we knew that we just HAD to watch “Secondhand Lions”. We’d put it off long enough and were finally told to watch it again – this time by someone who actually owned it (thanks Sweeny family!)
