‘Half-animal’ woman found in Cambodian jungle may be long-missing daughter
Had an emotional night with our students tonight.
It’s good to have emotions and to share them.
More on those emotions in just a few days.
Unlimited abortion rights?
Not by my vote.
Non existence of Hell?
Not by my vote.
“I am a Christian.… So, I have a deep faith. I’m rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people.” – Barack Obama (article link)
Yesterday we hit the road early for a visit to Riley’s Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. What a beautiful hospital!
After a visit there we headed back North towards Fishers for a real-late lunch with Kory Pence at a really cool sandwich place. After lunch we headed further North towards home and stopped for a visit in Fairmount with Jason & Mischele Denniston. They’re the youth pastors at the Fairmount Wesleyan Church and Mischele is my new hair stylist!
A quick stop in Fort Wayne to pick up some pillows we ordered online and then home. I quickly dropped my girls off at the house and headed right back out for my mens group at Hacienda!
What a day!
Today will be a bit more “grounded”. Jess has the van and I’m stuck at the office.
It’s been snowing off and on and there’s a chance of up to 2″ today, so I’m holding on to that chance and hoping it happens!
Tonight at theBOX “unplugged” we delved into our first experience as a group with Lectio Divina (Latin for “Divine Reading”).
We’re going to be working through the book of Philippians together in Lectio Divina style and after tonight’s experience, I’m truly looking forward to seeing what God teaches our students through this method!
After theBOX “unplugged” tonight we had our first installment of “SNAC” (Sunday Night After Church).

It’s a fellowship-based event that I “borrowed”/”stole” from my buddy Jason Denniston in Fairmount who admits “borrowing”/”stealing” it from somewhere else.
Tonight 30+ of us gathered at the local Pizza Hut who graciously supplied us with the “Garden Room” for our loud group! It was a great time of hanging out building relationships with teens!
We’re planning on having SNAC on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month.
