That’s what the nurse said to me today – “no results until Monday.”

That’s what the nurse said to me today – “no results until Monday.”
Argh!
Made it through the hour and a half HIDA-scan first thing this morning. Had really no idea what to expect after hearing numerous stories from numerous people, but it was nothing, really. Quick IV into my left arm and then an hour and a half on a cold, steel table while this monstrosity of a camera came uncomfortably close to my mid-section, all the while jamming out to some WRSW, 107.3 tunes.
I DID feel some “pain” (I’m so nervous to call anything less than nearly chopping off my left middle finger “pain”) in my gall bladder-ish area (I really don’t know exactly where the bladder-of-gall is). I mentioned this to the tech who said that it can sometimes happen. Maybe the “pain” was my gall bladder attempting to work overtime on the stuff they injected into my veins?
Should hear something by this evening.
Saw the doctor this afternoon. We’re going through with the HIDA-scan tomorrow morning. This test should prove whether my gall bladder is working or not. I did find out today that I have a “slightly enlarged” gall bladder. I didn’t have the nerve to ask if that could have anything to do with my “slightly enlarged” body frame?!
If the scan comes back normal tomorrow, I will be referred to a gastrointestinal specialist to do some GI-checking.
The doc also said that I should hear the results of the HIDA by tomorrow evening.
Good times, huh?
Good news? I’m back to my college-weight after losing 18-pounds in 2-weeks!
I have a HIDA-scan tomorrow, but last night after coming home from theBOX I attempted to eat a bit of tomato soup and a cheese-sandwich. What happened after that can only be described as “painful”.
The toilet and I are forever-enemies now.
We called the doctor this morning and they quickly set up an appointment for me at 2:50 this afternoon.
What I’m looking forward to is finding out how much weight I’ve truly lost since going to the doctor two weeks ago. It would also be nice to find out what’s going on with my “bowels of terror”, too. (that would be a great name for a heavy metal rock band, wouldn’t it?)
