Yes, that means we won the homecoming game!
What a night!
I just returned to the office after a brief opportunity worth blogging about.
This afternoon I was privileged to lead the Mukwonago High School Indians football chapel! Being that tonight is Homecoming, I’m even more-honored to have been asked to briefly deliver devotions at a chapel before such a high-profile game, too!
I talked briefly on the very-familiar passage in Isaiah 40 about those who put their hope in the Lord soaring on wings like eagles. I learned some things about eagles this week thanks to Jill Briscoe – and I, in turn, shared those with the guys!
#1 – Eagles “molt”. They remove the old feathers to allow the new feathers to grow in.
Our Indians are 1-5 going into tonight, so the obvious correlation makes sense.
#2 – Eagles “ride thermals”. They use something that is “against them” to take them higher.
The nods I received while talking today makes me think the guys “get it”.
Thanks to two of my students who co-captain the team and the coaches for allowing me the opportunity that I so enjoyed this afternoon!
finally some new pictures from September have been put up on ellasheets.com!

Good times last night at Elmbrook!
Brandon Heath opened for Robbie Seay Band who opened for author, Donald Miller!
We sat on the front row!

Donald Miller (looking DIRECTLY at me?)

Friends, Josh & Jamie Hilty from Baraboo happened to be there, too, last night!
