What a great night. We are here in Amherst, Wisconsin. Spending a week here for Senior High Camp, and God is truly moving already here on the first night. We had a safe trip here, and our speaker Dave Ward is truly sent by the Lord for our camp for this week. Please join me in praying for our students. listen

Pastor Mark Wilson said enough about our District Conference on his blog that I don’t feel it’s necessary for me to recap here! If you’re interested, click and read HIS post!

I should add that I had the privilege of delivering our church’s “2-minute report” as is tradition from each church every year during the “2-minute drill” at conference. I got to talk about happenings here at Our Savior’s and enjoyed sharing with my brothers and sisters at conference.

It was an especially great conference having our newly elected General Superintendent with us – Dr. Jo Anne Lyon. God has placed her in leadership of our denomination for such a time as this! These are exciting days!

Pastor Gerry got elected to the District Board this year as did my Hispanic brother, Daniel Muñoz, from up in Milwaukee!

Truly, though, you should read Pastor Mark Wilson’s post on conference!

My buddy Glen turned me on to a new website via his blog today.

It’s called “Wordle.net” and it’s pretty fun. What it does is take your text and put it into “clouds”!

From their site:

Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.

Here’s my first “wordle” – a look at a sermon I preached a few months ago in “cloud format”:

Hopefully you’ve been able to keep up with the day-to-day via my Twitter posts (those are designed to be the updates between blog posts, ya know), but it has been too long for an update here at stevansheets.com.

Tomorrow morning Jess and I head to Wisconsin Rapids for our Wisconsin District Conference. Ella will be staying behind with Aunt Sher – and she is VERY pleased!

When we return on Friday our schedule gets even crazier!

We’re hanging on for the crazy ride ahead!
