President Barack Obama.
Wow.
I refuse to join the “Don’t blame me, I voted for…” crowd.
I refuse to join the “I’m moving to Canada.” crowd.
I refuse to join the “I’m building a bomb shelter.” crowd.
My stance:
I will continue to pray for the President of the United States of America. I will respect him as I believe God asks us to respect those in authority over us.
I’ve said it during this entire season: I am glad that God is in control and knew exactly how many votes would be cast for each candidate before either was even a positive pregnancy test result!
This is a pretty big day. I’m glad God knows what’s going to happen!
I found a Tinkerbell costume at Gabriel Bro’s for $1.50 the other day. It didn’t fit me too well, so I gave it to Ella.
She loves it.
When Trick or Treat-ers came to our door tonight they were greeted by a weird guy saying, “Merry Christmas” and a cute little girl dressed as Tinkerbell and the cheapest candy we could buy!
We had a blast!

Tonight was Armbrust Wesleyan’s annual Trunk N Treat outreach event. I hadn’t participated in a Trunk N Treat event since being on staff in Warsaw, Indiana and was quite curious as to what to expect here at Armbrust.
I was impressed.
More than 230 people from the community showed up tonight for a full cook-out meal, a couple dozen vehicles with trunks full of sugar-y goodness, and even a bonfire!
What’s more is that seeds were planted through this event that allowed some in the community to see a church willing to reach out to them without strings attached! I’m proud of our church family and leadership for making this event happen!

I should add that it snowed most of today and was in the mid-30’s all day. I thought for sure that the weather would cause a low turnout tonight on both those with candy in their trunks and those willing to come out for the event. I’m glad I was wrong!
