On April 23, at 8PM, Dave Ramsey is offering a FREE, LIVE Simulcast of an event he’s calling the “Town Hall For Hope” that will be available nationwide via thousands of locations.

Our church just signed up to be a host-location. All we needed was a high speed broadband Internet connection, a projector, meeting place, and the willingness to host the event!

I can’t wait!

For more information, visit www.townhallforhope.com

If you live close to us, come enjoy the event with us at Armbrust Wesleyan Church starting at 8PM on Thursday, April 23rd!

Another clip from last night’s Daddy/Daughter time:

d152More than likely, you have not yet heard of “Naturally 7” – the seven-member vocal-play group that is taking many other countries (other than the US) by storm. I was sent a YouTube clip of these guys a few weeks ago and I instantly knew I needed to add them to my “favorites list” as quickly as possible. A quick internet search netted me their live concert at the Montreaux Jazz Festival in 2007 on DVD.

These guys put a brand-new spin on the now-popular a capella music-style by reinventing themselves as “vocal play”. The way they explain it is that a capella means “voices without instruments” and vocal play means “voices as instruments”.

I love it.

The DVD features some familiar tracks from Simon & Garfunkle, Paul Simon, and even some samples from other familiar tunes mixed in with their VERY unique and original songs, too.

Jess and I sat and watched this entire DVD on Wednesday night (the day it came in the mail) and were pleasantly surprised to hear a Christian-faith coming through in both their lyrics and in the song transitions!

The members of Naturally 7 are: Dwight Stewart, Jamal Reed, Roger Thomas, Rod Eldridge, Warren Thomas, Garfield Buckley, & “Hops”.

I’m posting a few videos of Naturally 7 in action that maybe you can become fans of this group as quickly as we have!

Tonight Jess got to leave the house on her own for a few hours to enjoy a “Chick Flick” at the church. I got to spend some quality time with my daughter.

Ella was in a unique interview-worth mood tonight. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to capture some great moments:

Haven’t heard a lot from the Salvation Army, but this commercial is fairly new and incredibly powerful. Love the production value, but especially the message:
