From 2009.05.28 – Ezra's Birth 01

Praise the Lord, Ezra was born today at 7:16AM. He weighed in at a whopping 9lbs, 11oz., and was 21-inches long! He’s HUGE!

He is a perfect creation of our Heavenly Father and a blessing to our family!

I am updating this from the hospital WiFi as Ezra is being looked after by the Specialty Care Nursery nurses. He has had some trouble breathing today and has gone into breathing distress anytime he gets worked up trying to nurse or trying to take a bottle. They have him on antibiotics and around-the-clock care for tonight.

The around-the-clock care should help Jess and I get some much-needed rest here in the hospital room. We know God is in complete control and isn’t surprised when we are at “other than normal” situations that arise!

Ella is excited about her new brother. We captured some great moments of her singing “Happy Birth Day” (yes, I meant to spell it that way):

Jess and I would both covet your prayers for Ezra tonight and especially these next few days!

Some great photos of the day are here.

tomorrow

Tomorrow morning at 6:30AM, my wife will undergo a c-section and our son, Ezra Paul (unless the pictures have been wrong) will be born!

Please be praying for Mommy (and Daddy!) that all goes as planned and that her recovery is safe and speedy! Also be praying for our son (and his sister!).

newsletter
My sister, Sherilyn, came up with a clever name for her ministry newsletter – “Wrinkled Sheets”. She just released her May edition and gave us some great insight into what’s up in her life and ministry. Check it out here.

The Internet is a WONDERFUL place (for things like this)!

Introducing manbabies.com – a website worthy of its own post here at stevansheets.com.

If you’re not visiting this site often, you’re missing out on quality Photoshopped photos like this:

So today’s attempt at clearing off some junk from my hard drive proved fruitless. Even after removing numerous albums and “priceless” video clips, I’ve still only managed to free up a total of 3gigs on my tiny 120gb hard drive on my current Dell Inspiron E1505 that I got back in October, 2006!

So tonight we spent our tax return on my new Dell. The decision to buy tonight (instead of a month ago when we first knew what our return would be) came after today’s hard drive filling-up situation. That happens every few weeks and I manage to keep off-loading pics and videos to an external 350gb hard drive that I filled up about 2 months ago!

The new Dell is an Inspiron 15 Laptop. For you techies, here are the specs:

I’m also going to upgrade to the newest Office suite (not through Dell).

So, what do you think?
