Minute To Win It Resources, downloadable Blueprints

The show “Minute To Win It” debuted on NBC back in March, 2010. Since then, people from around the world have been introducing the quirky, fun, and satisfying 60-second games in their churches, youth groups, staff-retreats, conferences, and business-meetings as a way of livening up the crowd and creating a fun atmosphere.

In my previous church as a youth pastor, Minute To Win It games were a highlight of our youth group gatherings. I’ve even blogged some videos of our students doing some of the games.

I also started collecting resources from across the Internet to help others use the idea behind the show to introduce Minute To Win It in their own context.

I’ve also received lots of email requests for the BluePrint videos, sound track, graphics, timer, etc. And I’ve tried to share those resources with as many people as possible. Some of the sharing-methods have been less-than-adequate, so I’m trying again.

I recently uploaded everything I’ve created and found readily available on the Internet in regards to Minute To Win It. It is all available here for download. From a 60-second timer to the blueprint instruction videos, and even some graphics I have created – everything I have is available here for instant download. If you find any of these resources useful, I’d love for you to leave a comment letting me know where and how you are using them.

Special thanks to my buddy Shane for helping me for the last year to manage this growing list of resources that I’ve been continuing to amass.

UPDATE (September 23, 2011) | Currently, the ONLY way to download these blueprints and other resources for Minute To Win It is to wait for the bandwidth from box.net to reset each month. If you have ideas/suggestions on how I could host these files for FREE elsewhere without the restrictions we’re getting from box.net, please leave a comment.

Thankful for God-fearing Family

Yesterday I took Jess and our children to Allentown to visit with my Grandpa Miller (I’m not ashamed to tell you that I call him “Pap-Pap”) who is suffering through the late-stages of pancreatic cancer. Hospice is doing their part to make him comfortable as is his dear wife, Alma (Pap-Pap remarried after my grandmother died about 5-years ago).

As our visit in their home neared an end yesterday, the family circled up for closing prayer – as we often do. Before the prayer began, my God-fearing, Christ-trusting Pap-Pap managed to interrupt (in a great way) the closing-sequence of our visit by leading out in a song that is a testimony of the hope he has in Jesus Christ.

I’m thankful for generations on both sides of my family that continue to trust in the Lord and set Godly examples of living out their faith!

Speaking out against Universalism, but living like Universalists?

I absolutely appreciate this video-statement from David Platt – author of “Radical” and pastor of Brook Hills. He makes some powerful statements regarding the issues surrounding the theology presented in Rob Bell’s “Love Wins”, while at the same time reminding Christians that we have work to do.

To quote David Platt,

“We have a mission that demands radical urgency… Intellectual Universalism is dangerous. Thinking that in the end everyone is going to be okay. But, Functional Universalism is worse. Living like in the end, everyone is going to be okay. So, let’s fight them both.”

Martin Bashir’s interview with Rob Bell (the rest of the story)

If you haven’t seen Martin Bashir’s interview with “Love Wins” author, Rob Bell yet, please watch this first:

This interview has been getting a lot of air-time on Evangelical Christian blogs. And since it has aired (and been uploaded to YouTube) it has caused a lot of speculation and conversation. As far as video-interviews go it is the current cut-and-dry interview that asks the questions many of us would like the opportunity to ask ourselves of Rob Bell. Sadly, the answers we’ve been wanting in this situation are once-again re-routed.

After this interview, Martin Bashir was invited to an interview with Paul Edwards. Paul is the Teaching Pastor at Oakbrooke Bible Church in Waterford, Michigan and the host of The Paul Edwards Program heard weekday afternoons in Detroit on Salem Communications’ affiliate FaithTalk 1500.

His interview with Bashir is absolutely fantastic and opens the conversation up to a new level when we realize that a journalist, not a theologian, is able to ask some hard-hitting questions regarding the theology involved in “Love Wins”.
