Gizmo Project

2.14.2006 — 2 Comments

Okay, so today I talked with my buddy Jason Denniston via my computer and a small program called “Gizmo Project“!

Simply, Gizmo is a free phone for your computer!

Technically, you’re given a SIP # (your own personal 747 area-code #) and you can use that to give to friends and family who ALSO use a program (or another similar program) or a SIP-enabled router and a high-speed internet connection and talk to them FOR FREE.

Sure that’s all good if your friends and family have high-speed internet, but ALSO, Gizmo offers 1-cent-per-minute calling to anywhere in the US! 1-cent-per-minute! WOW!

So – if anyone goes ahead and attempts this wonderful new, “Gizmo”, give me a call – my Gizmo login is “stevan_sheets” and my SIP# is 1-747-638-2466 – theoretically, you could give me a call in my office as soon as you install this program!

Oh how I wish I would’ve known about this while my sister was a million miles away in Bosnia!

LEMMINGS!

If you know what “Lemmings” are, you’ll want to play this game.

Want to know how close registered sex offenders live to you?

www.familywatchdog.com allows you to type in YOUR address and display a detailed map of local sex offenders. You can click on their “colored box” and get information on them.

(thanks, Travis, for the link)

Just found another helpful link: oneyearbibleblog.com

This website does a daily “commentary” on the readings from the One Year Bible!

Sure the images are a bit cheesy and “old”, but the running commentary is a great place to turn to get helpful insight into each day’s readings.

This may not be obvious to ALL readers, but this commentary is the author’s opinion and should be regarded as such. Some of the information will be factual (places, times, etc.) but otherwise the site is OPINION. Just a heads up.

I got a 9/10 on this test. Try it.
