Archives For Linkage

One of my college peers, Josh Buck, has an incredible testimony and I’m thankful that the Indiana Wesleyan University alumni department has chosen to film a bit of it and make it public so that I can share it here, too:

I just stumbled upon this soon-to-be-released resource that I had to share with my brothers and sisters in ministry. It’s called “Creative Matters” and is being released soon in E-Book format (pdf, I’m assuming).

From the website:

Creative Matters is a call to arms for all of us who endeavor to create beautiful, transcendent and transformational experiences in and around the Church. It’s a field guide of sorts…written by Creatives for Creatives… for those who work in the trenches of the “Create-On-Demand” challenges that every weekend brings. It’s a fresh perspective on the process, people, and purpose surrounding Creativity. It’s an invitation to live and work in a way that is both inspired and inspiring. And it’s the kind of kick-in-the-pants that we all need and will come back to again and again.

Contributors to the book include:
Jarrett Stevens
Promise Tangeman
Stephen Proctor
The Gungors
Barton Damer
Carlos Whittaker
Todd Henry
Amena Brown
Blaine Hogan
Marc Pierson
Stephen Brewster
CJ Alvarado
Cole Nesmith
Tim Schraeder

You can pre-order the book here. Again, it’s FREE!

Tonight Pastor Joel Osteen will be on the new Piers Morgan Tonight interview show on CNN. CNN has released a part of the interview to get us to set our schedules/dvrs to make sure we tune in:

This is nothing new on the subject, I don’t think – people continue to want to argue with other people, not what the Word of God says. Piers calls Joel a sort of a “judge” because he stands behind the Scripture and Piers can’t accept that.

What is your opinion on this interview-clip? Let me know in the comments.

The show airs tonight on CNN at 9PM EST.

Tonight I had the privilege of video-chatting with (and interviewing) a former student from my first youth pastorate in Warsaw, Indiana. Gene is currently a second-semester Freshman at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Gene is currently writing and producing tracks with his college roommate and together they call themselves “LYFE Ministry”. Check out their Facebook page and their website.

Thank you Gene for taking time to chat with ‘ol PStev tonight. I’m proud of you, brother!

The famous “Recycled” video that I made with Gene while I was still the youth pastor in Warsaw:

Recently, the Education & The Ministry department of the Wesleyan church launched a brand-new resource for Wesleyan Pastors: wesleyansermons.com

I am honored and privileged to be working alongside the department and Dr. Lenny Luchetti on developing this great resource for Wesleyan Leaders across our great denomination!

Below is the introductory video describing why the site is being developed and a bit about how it will function:
