Archives For General

No pictures tonight – I actually decided to leave the camera in the car (after we were 3-blocks from the car, that is)

We had a great visit with Jess’ Grandparents tonight before hitting the fair.

At the fair we used our “Fair Money” – money that Jess’ grandparents give us each year to eat some supper and spent some great time visiting with the Bluffton Wesleyan Church folks. Pastor Lyle Breeding was there with his crew selling “Son Buns” – amazingly tasty sticky buns that weighed atleast 17 lbs. each!

It was a good night.

The drive back was made pleasant by Switchfoot. Jess nodded off and is already in dreamland. I got my second-wind once we arrived home and decided to do some more work on the indyouth.com website – which, by the way, launched the other day.

Jess and I are nearly out the door to head to our yearly visit to the Bluffton Street Fair.

Pictures will follow, of course.

Season Premieres

Last Thursday, Survivor Guatemala premiered – tonight was the second episode. This Sheets family is hooked.

Tuesday night was NCIS – a great season-starter, picked up where the finale suddenly dropped us.

Tonight – CSI – good episode, looking forward to this series being back on Thursday nights!

Also tonight – “Criminal Minds” with that old doctor from Chicago Hope days. Good show thus far, but it’s moving to Wednesdays so we won’t see much of that one anymore.

Has anyone else wondered what the deal is with mostly cop-shows these days?

iBOX KICK-OFF

What a night!

I’m absolutely beat right now, but am SO GLAD for the blast we had tonight at the 2005 Fall Kick-Off!

We gave away a BUNCH of stuff, ate a TON of pizza, drank lots of soda (I had water, or course), and listened to a lot of loud music.

It was a great night – more than 60 showed up, too!

Now to go home and “calm down” after an intense evening of adrenaline-pumping goodness.

Sermon-writing day tomorrow.

Pray for me.

SYATP 2005

SYATP 2005

This morning, I was at the WCHS flagpole by 6:45AM with Courthouse Coffee’s vanilla chai in my hand!

SYATP had a great turnout again this year – even though they had ISTEP testing this morning and Juniors and Seniors didn’t have to be at the High School until 11:30! (the youth pastors talked about moving it back a week next year, possibly?)

More pictures of SYATP available here.

Also took some pictures of my youth pastor-buddy’s babies who they just happened to bring this morning! Those are here.

And of course some photos of the iBOX banners are available now!
