Time.

I don’t have enough of the greatest commodity of all – time.

Too much going on, not enough time to do it all.

We’re leaving tomorrow morning to head to Chicago for my sister Sherilyn’s birthday. We’ll meet up with my folks up there and bring them back with us on Saturday for Ella’s dedication on Sunday!

This is going to be one of those “whirlwind weekends”.

Sorry about the lack of updates lately – it’s good to know they’re missed.

Round-Up Sunday

Today was “Round-Up Sunday” at Warsaw Wesleyan Church. Our combined service at 10AM this morning was “Western” themed and we had over 500 in attendance! We filled the sanctuary and for the lunch afterwards, we had to put up extra tables in the hallways! How cool is that?! Best of all, there were atleast 5 this morning who prayed to accept the Lord as their Savior!

Even though I’m anti-Western/Country/Southern Gospel, the day was, in fact, a good day overall and I even enjoyed singing in the Southern Gospel quartet AND dressing in jeans and my “Mexican Cowboy” poncho, which – thanks to the Sweeny’s – was a modified $6 bath-towel from Wal-Mart.

Unbelievable.

Last night (Wednesday) we had a record-crowd at theBOX. We crammed 76 people into theBOX last night – it was a tight fit, but we managed to make it through the evening. My voice was almost completely gone by the end of the evening and a doctor’s visit today leaves me with the diagnosis of bronchitis. Great.

The doctor’s bill, 3 prescriptions and one over-the-counter also left us looking in the sofa for extra coinage. Ouch.

My back, as some of you know, has been quite out of whack for the last few months, too – and today I was prescribed some take-as-you-need-them muscle relaxers as well as some pain medicine, so hopefully I’m on the way to recovery.

I will also be on the look-out for a local chiropractor to take a look at the mess that is going on in my upper back. I’d like to find a chiropractor that is cheap enough that I won’t have to sell everything we own to go to.

Tonight my buddy Gabe called me and I met him at the church to unload a dozen hay bales into the foyer! Round Up Sunday is happening this weekend – and I’m on the “decoration committee” to make the sanctuary fit that “country/western” theme! I’m also singing in a quartet this weekend. It should be quite the interesting weekend.

Tomorrow the Sheets head to Bluffton for the night. We’ll enjoy dinner with the in-laws and then the Bluffton Street Fair on Saturday.

Next week is Sherilyn’s birthday and we’re taking a day off and heading up to Chicago to celebrate with her. Mom and Dad are also heading over there on Thursday – so it will be a good time as a family! On Sunday we are publicly dedicating Ella to the Lord in our morning worship service. As far as we’re concerned – if you’re reading this announcment, you’re invited! My grandparents are flying in from North Carolina, my folks will be here from PA, and my sister from Chicago as well as Jess’ family from Bluffton including grandparents will all be present for our special occasion!
