I’m so glad Spring is here!
The Sheets family spent our morning and afternoon outside today. It is beautiful! I got some weeding done, some pruning done, blew out the garage with my leaf blower, and even transplanted some plants!

It’s good to get dirty!

This afternoon we made a quick-trip up to North of Milwaukee to the town of Shorewood, Wisconsin. I found a guy on Craigslist who was selling 8 lathe-tools for too-good of a deal to pass up! While we were on the road I got a call from the church office asking me if I was at home for my buddy Pat to come by and drop off some lathe tools he was giving to me! I’ve been thinking today about the “National Day of Prayer“. It was mentioned in staff meeting today and my first thought was, “another one already?”

I’m of the “school”, I guess, that hasn’t yet memorized the National Day of Prayer calendar and for some reason I think I thought it happened numerous times throughout the year. (November?)

I think I like the idea of “National” prayer-topics, but focusing on praying for one-day as Believers throughout our nation? That’s close to advising us to participate in one “National Day of Worship” (Easter? Christmas?).

How about the “National Network of Pray-ers” or the “National Praying Continually Community”? I like those better. Someone please start the dot-com.
