Archives For March 2007

I’m home today.

Jess is now sick. Ella has been sick-ish for a couple of days now and with them both being sick, I made the call to make home my office this morning.

Jess is in bed and Ella knows that Daddy’s here and she has decided NOT to take her morning nap, but to roll around in her crib instead. When I go into her room, I’m met with a huge smile that says, “I win, Daddy – now pick me up.”

I’m trying not to give in.

Tonight Mom and Dad Garrett are coming to visit. They were going to babysit as Jess and I joined our CONNECTIONS group for an evening of bowling, but I will now have to go alone with Jess being sick. I welcome the help from my in-laws!

Mac & Cheese

Tonight I ate my first “real meal” since last Tuesday. Jess made me some mac & cheese with cut-up hot dog pieces! Yesterday all I had all day was a bowl of cereal after theBOX, so today is definitely a step-forward.

We have still not heard from the doctor about any results from my ultrasound, and I’m still feeling a little nauseated and continue to visit the little boy’s room a couple times a day. I also did a weight check and realized yesterday that I’ve lost 10-pounds since last Wednesday morning! I don’t suggest not eating for 7-days as the best weight-loss program, but it sure is working for me!

Too cute NOT to post:

I’m convinced that the two secret-service-looking fella’s that were standing near the Vince Lombardi Trophy this morning wouldn’t have been able to stop me from running off with it. I’m still not feeling “up to par”, so I didn’t attempt to find out.

PJ and I took a quick road trip from the office before Noon today to participate in the hype that is viewing the trophy in all its splendor. We also met “Blue”, the Colts mascot and two cheerleaders, which was quite awkward.

I’m still a bit unsure of how Warsaw was chosen as one of the 50-stops the trophy-tour is taking, but I was grateful for the opportunity to see it!

Oh, and did I mention that Peyton was there?
