Uncle Josh Morton

8.15.2006 — 2 Comments

Another visitor today!

I got to play a good nine-holes of golf with this guy and our mutual-friend Tom Young! I lost, of course, but had a blast!

Josh came up from Marion where his Mom and Step-dad live. He’s visiting them before heading back to West Virginia where he currently lives. He’ll soon be a new employee at McLean Bible Church where he will be involved in all matters of technology! He’s pumped and so am I – I can’t wait till he starts teaching me new stuff!

By the way – we think Ella is “officially” the first baby Josh has ever held! How cool is that?

Tonight we enjoyed the special visit of “Uncle” Brandon Schenck! He called when he was about 20-minutes away from our house and said, “Hey, what’re you doing?!”

20-minutes later we were blessed by his visit!

Brandon is en route to becoming a Navy SEAL! He has finished the first training test and is continuing to take these monthly tests before “shipping out” in January!

This was his first introduction to Ella and after a few awkward moments, Ella eventually smiled at her “Uncle Brandon”.

It was so good to be surprised tonight by Brandon’s visit!

Family Photoshoot

Tonight, after the Community Singspiration – Jess and I took some time to do a photoshoot with our amazingly beautiful daughter.

Photoset here.

Slideshow:

Tonight’s Warsaw-area Community Sinspiration was a huge blessing to all who were involved! Folks from at least 7 area-churches combined tonight to worship the Lord at Central Park here in Warsaw. FLICKr photoset here.

Here’s the slideshow from the photos I took tonight:

My buddy James and his wife, Cassie had their daughter, Jillian Alexandria this morning around 5AM.

Jillian was 6-pounds, 6-ounces and she is 18.5-inches long.

Dad and especially Mom are doing extremely well! This is their first – a playmate for Ella for sure!

Ella turns 4-months-old tomorrow!

Unbelievable.

As I held her in my arms tonight as she was drifting off to sleep I couldn’t help but pray for her again and suddenly tears appeared from nowhere. I remember the joy of those first-hours with Ella as Jess and I saw on the faces of James and Cassie again tonight. I cannot help but wonder what our Ella will do in life – and I thank my God for every moment we get with her!
