Here I sit in the Brewha Cafe with my buddy Glen Robinson. We’ve enjoyed a great Pizza Hut buffet for lunch and now we’re enjoying some free wireless net and some conversations about our district Senior High Camp.

What a variety of sights and sounds tonight…
From Dolly Parton’s song which practically preached the Gospel to the 3-6 Mafia’s “It’s Hard Out Here (for a pimp)” – I’m not sure we could have seen any further-from-each-other songs on the spectrum.
I’m staying awake long enough to see if “Walk the Line” wins anything!

Jess and I took a walk this afternoon in the Oakwood Cemetary. Our first walk of the “warming up” season.
I took my camera (of course) and snapped some interesting photos here.
Tonight’s class was my least favorite thus far. Lots of talking, lots of PowerPoint slides, and a lot more talking.
We watched an interesting video tonight about the hospital bed – an entire video on what the bed can do! Okay, that was a bit interesting.
We practiced again this week our “drive to the hospital” on the way to the hospital – complete with 4-way flashers, horn honking, and “yielding” through the 2 stop signs (I looked both ways, I promise!) We made it there in record time and I even managed to remind Jess to keep breathing as she continuously giggled at my antics (and put on the “fake brake” that she thinks she has on her side of the car as I “yielded”)!
After class we were able to talk a bit about how since attending these “classes”, it is remarkable how much more positive we are that BOTH of us are going to make it through this whole childbirthing experience. I know there is a lot we don’t know and can’t plan for, but honestly – I’m ready to give it a go!
I’m excited about working with my wife as she miraculously gives birth to our son/daughter! I’m excited about helping her focus on something other than the extreme pain of childbirth. I’m excited about the experience and having opportunity to pray with my wife and my new baby as he/she is born!
7 weeks left, folks!
