What an idea! (video is a HUGE file – don’t click unless you have high-speed!)

From the Bravia website:

How we did it

In an age when CGI is commonplace, this makes the commercial all the more extraordinary. Every single frame was shot over two days – with the main sequence involving a 23-man camera crew and only one chance to get it right.

An entire block was closed off and special compressed-air cannons shot the balls into the air, while earth moving equipment poured thousands down the street. Not that you’d know it from the finished product, but these balls can do some damage, so all the cars were props and crew members went so far as to having protective shields and crash helmets.

But when you get it right, you get it right. The goal at the beginning was to deliver a “really simple, visual celebration of colour”. We think you’ll agree the results speak for themselves.

This video (by the “Presidents of the United States”) was shot entirely by numerous Sony Ericsson cellphones! (via) The phones were only capable of 10 frames per second (standard video is shot at around 30 f.p.s.), and they couldn’t capture quick jerky movements without pixelation, so much of the footage was shot with the band performing the song at half speed.

Today was one of those Sunday’s where I realize once again why local-church ministry is absolutely worth it!

I had the distinct privilege of singing “Meet With Me” with Jess this morning in both morning worship services! Sure I was a bit out of place but she assured me that I did fine – and in my ears our voices blended very well together as we sang our duet!

After church we got to take Pastor Bill and June out to lunch. It was great to “have them to ourselves” and talk about life, ministry, and everything else! They are a dear couple and we continue to learn from them every day!

Tonight we enjoyed dinner with our Warsaw Wesleyan Family – followed by a time of testimony and special music in the sanctuary. It was absolutely fantastic to hear God’s people celebrating all that He has done in their lives over the last year!

We ended the evening with our intimate congregation holding hands across the sanctuary and praying together!

The picture today is of my beautiful wife with Megan – our “adopted” daughter!

More pictures of tonight’s dinner here.
