I’m pretty sure this is an exact replication of what Italy looks like.

Saw this in the sky a couple night ago and couldn’t help but take a picture.

My little sister heads to Italy sometime tonight, I think while I sleep.

She’s been in Bosnia now for 10 months and is taking a bit of a vacation to Italy and surrounding locations ON HER OWN.

Does this scare anyone else that knows my sister?

Possible scenarios:

01. Sherilyn becomes the queen of Italy.

02. Sherilyn finds her “inner-Italian” and decides to settle down as a gondola-operator.

03. Sherilyn takes it upon herself to let a local pizza shop know that THEIR pizza just isn’t as good as in America.

These and MANY other ideas are making my head spin.

Pray for Sher this week.

I’M FINISHED READING THE SEVEN (7) BOOKS!!!

I can hardly believe how much I enjoyed reading C.S. Lewis’ “Chronicles of Narnia!”

I finished book 7, “The Last Battle” today during my lunch break. At the finish, I wanted to stand and tell everyone at Subway how much I enjoyed these books and how badly they needed to read them. I chose NOT to do such a thing and went outside.

Let me be honest about something here.

Reading these books “changed” something inside of me. Yep. They helped me with my own imagination and my own thought-processes and my own wonderment of just how big God is.

For instance, when you think of Heaven, have you ever wondered how FAR Heaven goes? I mean does it go to a wall somewhere, are we going to be kept in a certain area, or could I, in fact, walk for eternity and NEVER see the same thing twice? Yah, my brain hurts after thinking that, too…

Also – these books, as I’ve said, have given me a new imagination and child-like weirdness, too.

I was on the softball field one night after reading book 1, I think, when I saw a dragonfly hovering close to me. After reading about Narnia and the wonders C.S. Lewis imagined, I actually spoke to the dragonfly and said, “Come here.”

It flew away.

On another night, I actually TRIED to dream about Narnia. Seriously – I layed in bed after finishing one of the books and thought to myself, “wouldn’t it be great to actually have a dream about Narnia, and have my own adventures there – all inside a dream?!” I think I slept that night with no dreams.

All that to say that these books are a timeless treasure that I will enjoy reading again and again! If you haven’t already read the series, they’re on sale @ Amazon for $28.77 with free shipping!

Planned Parenthood Removes Cartoon Advocating Abortion Violence (link to article @ lifenews.com)

When I first read this article, I thought, “How bad could this cartoon really be?”

Then I “Googled” the cartoon and found this: link (91mb). Here’s a link to a much smaller (3.4mb), Windows Media version of the video.

It’s HUMID!

8.30.2005 — 4 Comments

While much of the Southeast is being clobbered by a huricane, it seems like here in Indiana the humidity decided to move North and rest with us for a bit. Ugh.

I just took a trip to Lowes and Walmart for theBOX-related items and came back nearly drowned in my own sweat. (isn’t that a pretty mental picture?)

Anyways, it’s a good Tuesday. Got a lot done here in the office again today. Finalized a postcard that is off to the printer and will be back in a week’s time (had to rush this one) advertising our Fall Kick Off for theBOX coming up September 21st. Our kickoff is a bit later this year due to many reasons, but mostly because I am a bit overwhelmed. (Honesty is STILL the best policy, right?)

I had lunch with Thomas Hall and Bethany Kinney this afternoon at Courthouse Coffee. They really do have the best chicken salad sandwich in the county! Thomas treated us both to lunch out of the kindness of his heart. If you’re keeping tabs, that’s TWO free lunches in TWO days! Amazing. Thomas and Bethany have been dating now for a bunch of years and Thomas is now on staff here at Warsaw Wesleyan as the part-time music director. He is heading back to IWU as a commuter this year for his Junior year. It’s been great to have him around in the office these last couple of weeks.

Picked up a printer for theBOX tonight, along with some monitor extension cables and a 3″ hole-saw to bore the holes in the famous countertop upstairs. I also figured out a way to lock up the fridge, too! Biased opinion: theBOX is the coolest room in the church!

Tonight, Jess and I FINALLY get a meal together for dinner. I’ve been looking forward to that all day!

Have I mentioned lately that my wife is my best friend and that I would be much less of the Stevan I am without being married to her?
