I didn’t expect to enjoy 3:10 to Yuma as much as I did. This was another borrowed-from-the-library flick that I didn’t hear much about when it was in theaters.

It’s definitely a Western for this generation. I was disappointed in the on-screen language that took place from nearly every character in the movie.

As I watched I tried to imagine what it must’ve been like to live in the West in the 1800’s carrying pistols everywhere you went, wondering what Russel-Crowe-like bad-guy was hiding around the next canyon waiting to shoot you for your pocket watch.

The redeeming storyline of “bad guy (Crowe) still has a little bit of good in him” was a bit misleading at the end of the film and even a bit confusing.

I never grew up watching “old Westerns” except every once in a while, but if the trend of recreating “old Westerns” continues, I might be able to get into that genre of film!
