Archives For May 2004

Today is the final day of May. Happy Memorial Day to you all…

Tonight I realized just how cool it would be to be a goat.

I wish I were a goat for the following reasons:

1.
a goat only worries about one thing: where to get it’s next mouthfull of grass from
2.
a goat can headbutt ANYONE who gets in his way
3.
a goat can eat tin cans for fun
4.
a goat has a tail – how cool would having a tail be?
5.
many times a goat has a bell around his neck – this could come in handy, too
6.
a goat can use the bathroom anywhere, anytime
7.
and last but not least, free milk for the whole farm!

I know that somewhere between 5 or 6 days before one’s wedding, one’s brain begins to be “tampered” with by his surroundings. This is happening to Mr. Sheets, thus tonight’s abnormal, yet somewhat “acceptable” STEVANSHEETS.COM post.

Got a lot done today. Ordered 40 carnations, washed a bunch of clothes and bedding, built some stuff, hung a picture on the wall, went to the Warrens for supper, came home and repeated those same steps! Good times.

Dan wooped me in 9-ball tonight – 4 games to Zero. Maybe THAT’S part of the reason this post is so random.

Tomorrow: work, softball, sleep. Wednesday: the first round of BROTHERHOOD™ arrives at the Apartment for the festivities of nuptual-swapping.

This is going to be a crazy couple of days. Am I ready? You bet your goat I am.

So I stumbled upon this annoying, yet addictive FLASH game tonight. You must take a look.

And hey – tomorrow is Memorial Day, so you’ve got plenty of time to play Happy Pill! And while you’re trying out new games, check out “Bowman” too.

We had a great day at Warsaw Wesleyan today. The message went very well – thanks for your prayers!

The office is closed tomorrow so Jess and I are doing some pre-wedding Spring cleaning.

Did I mention yet that I’m getting married this weekend?

Isn’t it nice to be able to post comments after each of my posts these days?

The New Shed

Well, today started out normally – I woke up.

It then took an abnormal turn when my Landlord, Tom Brackett and his wife, Sue showed up and began building the new storage building out behind our apartment. I felt inclined to help – I like using tools, digging with shovels, and putting things together.

So, from about 10AM until about 4:30PM, I was outside with Tom and Sue building this new storage shed! It was great. I think I may even have a bit of a tan now. Hurray for me.

So, I wanted to show off the storage shed to you, my friends @ stevansheets.com – so here:

okay, so this is the SEARS.com version of the storage shed, but mine looks like this!

this is it! Really! Isn’t it great?!

So, our new 10’x6′ storage shed is in place and ready for our bikes, our Christmas tree, and anything else that doesn’t need to be in our 800 square foot apartment!

I’m excited, can you tell?

Finished up Mr. Sermon tonight. It’s going to be a good day tomorrow.

Pray for ‘ol Stevan, would ya?!

One week from today Jess and I will be married – is that one of the most exciting things you’ve ever heard in your entire life?

Maybe we can have the reception in our new storage shed!!

Before this post is over with, I have a question – “Who closes the bus door after the bus driver gets out?”

Ponder that one!
